Tendonitis

The tendon is the band of fibrous connective tissue that attaches muscles to bone. Tendonitis is inflammation of this tissue usually from overuse of that muscle. Pain in a tendon can build up gradually with continued use or can appear suddenly if a more serious injury has occurred. Massage therapy can assist by reducing the tension in tight muscles and tendons involved, and guiding the client through range of motion exercises to return to normal function. The client must also rest for a time and return slowly to the activity that triggered the injury.

There are many other  conditions that can be treated by massage therapy.
