Respiratory Problems

This is a broad category, including but not limited to asthma, bronchitis, sinusitis, and even the common cold. During a flare up of a condition, medical intervention is required. In addition to the main breathing muscle, the diaphragm, the muscles of the neck, upper back, ribs and face can also be stressed when dealing with these conditions. Massage therapy can help by releasing knots and restrictions in tight muscles and the therapist can teach clients proper diaphragmatic breathing techniques.

Massage therapy can assist with a variety of other conditions, check out the list.
