Trigger point therapy advanced and master classes With Douglas Hanger Benson and Joseph Starr Advanced Classes: Trigger points are areas of high neurological activity that refer to distal sites often muscular but often they are also connected to what are called organ networks in Traditional Chinese Medicine- a vital level of trigger point involvement. These organ networks have the potential to account for the source of pain, and release it along with a web of related symptoms- emotional, energetic and physical. The beauty of this work is that it calls upon the highly integrated, holistic theory of TCM, and the wisdom of the body. This advanced level introduces the student to TCM theory. It also provides the palpation skills and insight necessary to interface with trigger points on an advanced mind/body level. This course draws on a background in Jin Shin Do, Tuina (Chinese massage), Traditional Chinese Medicine, chi gung and conventional Trigger point therapy. Master Classes Master Classes provides the opportunity to deepen the knowledge of TCM and the felt-sense that allows the practitioner to feel, integrate the information underneath the hands and help resolve triggerpoints and holding patterns. Move from dealing with single to multiple trigger point patterns with two-handed holding combinations. Achieve the discipline necessary to excel as a practitioner, through the study of chi gung and the use of directed energy or qi. Grow the capacity to become not only a trigger point practitioner but a healer as well. This course draws on a deeper understanding and empathic of energetic and emotional holding patterns established in the Advanced Class.
