This 3-day, hands-on workshop provides students with a strong foundation in the key elements of Thai Yoga massage. This Thai Yoga Massage or Assisted Yoga 1 course has its foundations rooted in the traditional system of Yoga Therapy. This practice, originating from India, is an ancient healing system combining assisted yoga postures, acupressure, energy movement and Ayurvedic principles. The course is a combination of lecture, discussion and experience. Students will learn the history and foundations of Thai Yoga Massage awareness, body stretch limitations, and injury preventions. Instruction also includes assisting with yoga stretches, understanding of physical limitations and alignments, the art of compassion, Sen Energy line work, safe yoga movement, and yoga breath art and techniques using hands, knees, feet, and elbows on table as well floor. After participating and completing this course, participants will have the confidence to perform a 60-120 minute Thai Yoga Massage session. The main emphasis is on covering Level 1 techniques in supine (laying on the back) and sitting positions on table as well floor. The course provides in-depth knowledge of sitting and supine yoga postures and Aahara (digestive) energy stimulation for non-yoga teachers. The course will be taught and conducted by Yoga Therapist, Vineeta Sharma. Manual and Certification of completion will be provided by YogYam Yoga Therapy Institute. It is a three-day (24 hours in total) course.
