It is done without the use of creams, oils or any other product. It is a wonderful session, which is meant to help relax, and rejuvenate the body, the mind and spirit. It is also very beneficial for the face. By bringing healing touch to the face and head areas we are able to help our client’s look and feel younger. Skin tone can be improved and facial lines reduced. It refines pores, helps to normalize oil production and makes the skin smoother. A reduction of dark lines under the eyes may also be achieved. We can help our clients have a fresh, relaxed and well-rested look. The Chinese discovered that by pressing certain acupressure points on the face, there was a greater flow of blood and oxygen to the facial area. Massage promotes a release of tension, a softening of lines, and toning and tightening of sagging skin, among other health-related benefits. This form of massage is not a “Facial” but rather a massage-oriented session for the face. This is different from other facial massage methods. The face has a complex muscular structure. Each facial muscle is constantly busy performing a multitude of movements. Consider the full range of emotions, movements and expressions your face makes every day. Even as you dream your facial muscles are working. When facial muscles are massaged and exercised regularly, all the metabolic processes are stimulated, which means facial circulation is improved, capillaries are strengthened, and the facial lymph system is cleansed. All skin types will respond to facial massage positively, since massage keeps the collagen and elastin fibres wet and warm, which encourages and stimulates their growth. This massage can be done on a regular basis to help regain and maintain a more youthful look. Or it can be done once or periodically as a quick pick-me-up or face-lift for a special occasion. What to Bring • Pen / Paper • Lunch • Comfortable loose fitting clothing • Massage table, pillow or bolster (1 per 2 participants) Note: There will be home study materials to be reviewed and provided prior to the start of the course. These will be sent to each participant by email.
