A one-day seminar designed to assist and empower practitioners in developing confident manual application skills. Therapists will develop a sensitivity to acute shifts in soft tissue tone that happen frequently during treatments. The framework for this skill development will utilize the concept of Qualitative Palpation as a means of connecting what is felt underhand with specific soft tissue mechanisms of control and protection via the Autonomic Nervous System. The goal here is to, over time, enhance and refine the practitioner’s palpation into a precise diagnostic tool. Over time, a therapist employing these practical ideas will afford themselves the ability to safely engage the patient’s tissue(s) and be able to make the most appropriate clinical decisions for the individual being treated. This, in turn, allows therapists to more readily reach desired treatment outcomes having not elicited adverse effects. The secondary result of this approach is that therapists will drastically reduce the cumulative wear and tear on their own bodies.
