Foot Reflexology Certification

  • Type:
  • Seminar/Workshop
  • Time:
  • 35 hours
In this 4 day course, professional therapists and student-therapists will acquire essential reflexology skills, in order to use reflexology safely and effectively, and to integrate reflexology into an existing practice. Reflexology is complementary - readily combining with existing health therapies, making each more efficient. It can "fill in the gaps" of massage therapy, with therapeutic techniques that affect health areas otherwise not accessible through massage, such as specific organ and hormone function. Recent research supports that reflexology increases sleep and relaxation, increases quality of life for patients with cancer, decreases complications in diabetes, and reduces pain.Through a balance of theory, active learning, and applied techniques, you will learn: reflexology grips and pressure techniques; the body reflex map of the foot; anatomy and physiology as it corresponds to reflexes per system; contraindications and cautionary considerations; which reflexes help specific health conditions; how to recognize and provide therapeutic support of toxin release; and help clients reduce pain, increase circulation and achieve relaxation. Increase client satisfaction with this amazing therapeutic addition.35 hour instruction, 165 hour practicum (65 sessions) + assignments, exam within one year. Certificate of class attendance, and later professional certification indicating 200 hours, upon practicum/exam completion.June 6-9, 9am-6pm, $995; register at www.reflexologyASR.com
