Edgework in the Context of a Manual Therapy Practice

Course Summary: Edgework describes a specific process of attending to movement and positional sensations during interventions that are used in the clinic such that self-efficacy and expansion of movement are facilitated. In this presentation, a framework for the interactive process of care will be introduced with specific applications of current pain science and theory to the clinic. The approach of moving within specific novel contexts, allowing for new outputs to previously painful movements will be presented. Specific examples will be presented for the upper and lower quarter.
