LEARNING OUTCOMES Learn the potential role of the cranial-sacral system in health. Learn the anatomy of the transverse fascial planes and diaphragm areas of the body including the nerve, artery, vein, and lymphatic supply and drainage related to the cranial-sacral system. Learn a protocol of evaluation for the cranial-sacral rhythmic impulse as well as the sphenobasilar movements for dysfunctional patterns. Learn the location, actions, and methods of assessment of the Cranial nerves. Learn the functional anatomy of the face and jaw as it relates to the cranial-sacral system. Learn a protocol of evaluation for the face and jaw as it relates to the S-B patterns of the cranial vault. Learn techniques applicable to correcting dysfunctional patterns as it relates to the cranial-sacral system. TEACHING STRATEGIES The education is provided using multiple mode methods including visual, oral, and manual (tactile) modalities. Demonstration and hands-on practice with guidance is used. Question and answer with repetition of important concepts is also used.
